Senior Pastor

Dr. Kevin Milburn

Dr Kevin Milburn has been the Senior Pastor at Second Baptist Greenville since October of 2015. Originally from Danville, KY, he previously served the Senior Pastor of Union Baptist Church in Union, KY. Kevin has been in the ministry since 1996, also serving in associate and youth pastor roles. He has served on the Kentucky Baptist Convention Mission Board, led six mission trips to Haiti, and has conducted a field study in Israel and Greece. In 2014 he was elected Vice-President of our Kentucky Baptist Convention.


Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Boyce College in Louisville, KY, a Master of Divinity degree in Theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Discipleship/Assimilation from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. Kevin has been married to his best friend Jessica since 2000 and they have four children, Madeline, Noah, Connor, and Andrew. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, watching and playing basketball, and savoring fine cheesecake.

Associate Pastor

Bob Thurman

Bro. Bob was raised in Southeast Missouri and was called by God into the ministry as a young adult and licensed into ministry by his home church on the same day his father was ordained a deacon.  He is married to Karen who grew up in St. Louis, MO.  They were married in 1982 and have two grown sons.  Bro. Bob began his ministry in 1995 as Minister of Education and Youth, but has served in several roles as the church has grown through the years.


He enjoys time with family and friends, fishing, golf, and working in the yard and garden.

Worship and Youth Pastor

Brian Schindler

Brian and Melissa were called to 2nd Baptist in January of 2001 after he completed his Master's at Southern Seminary.  He was raised in the mountains of Pikeville, KY, and was even blessed to serve at First Baptist of Pikeville as an interim music minister of youth for a short time.  He has been married to Melissa Schindler since 2000 and has two children, Caroline and Michael.  Brian enjoys running, board games, watching nerdy comic book movies, and listening to podcasts.

 

Each week Brian strives to help our congregation commune with God. He longs to see members use their gifts in worship ministries as God’s church brings glory to her glorious Bridegroom.


Brian also leads our youth ministry toward a purpose-driven model where students grow in worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and ministry.

Minister of Children

David Bivins

David has served as the Minister of Children at Second Baptist since January of 2017.  He and his wife, Audrey have three wonderful kids, Lydia, Nathaniel, and Jacob.  A native of Greenville, KY, he has served in Augusta, GA and Benton, KY.  David studied Music Education and Accounting at Murray State University, where he met his wife, Audrey.  


David loves working with children, the adult volunteers who lead them, and parents who love them unconditionally.  He oversees kids, Birth through 5th grade and continues to expand the ministry outside our church walls with Vacation Bible School, and Launch Back-to-School.  


In his spare time, David enjoys cycling, singing, and home improvement projects.

Financial Secretary

Candida Likens

Candy has been a member of Second Baptist Church since January 2023. She has been married to her husband, Jesse Likens, since July 2003. They have two children, their son Blake Likens and daughter Caylee Likens. Candy has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Murray State University. She enjoys spending time with her family, working in her yard gardening, and doing small home repairs. 


She enjoys working with people and loves her Church family at Second Baptist Church. She feels the Lord brought her and her family to Second Baptist Church for a reason, and she loves all that the Church has to offer the youth in the community and feels that it is a Blessing to attend and serve at Second Baptist.

Kelly Dukes

Kelly was born on April 13, 1979 in Elizabethtown, KY and grew up in Clarkson, KY.  She was married to Will Dukes in June 2011.  They have a son named Tristan, born in May 2015.  They have a farm with horses, cows, and pigs.  Kelly started attending Second Baptist Church in 2011 and was baptized here in 2012.  Kelly has worked as Church Secretary since June of 2014.
