2nd Baptist's Coronavirus Statement

Dear Church,

After much consideration and prayer, and out of an abundance of caution for our members and community, the leadership of our church has decided to cancel all upcoming weekend services (am and pm), including our Saturday Night of Worship.

We respect the advice of our healthcare professionals and want to join in cooperation with the Muhlenberg County school system, and other community groups, in taking steps to eliminate large gatherings during this time of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Thankfully, technology allows us to broadcast our weekly sermon. We hope you will gather with your families through Facebook, or on our website (www.2ndbaptist.org), Sunday morning at 10:30 am for a message from Bro. Kevin on how God’s people should respond in times of crisis. The message will stay available to view online for those unable to tune in at 10:30 am.

While we will not be meeting for corporate worship this Sunday, our ministry staff and deacons still stand ready to serve and meet needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us should a need arise.

Please join us in praying for God’s protection from this virus, that those infected would be healed, and that we would do all we possibly can to contain and eliminate the spread of COVID-19. Please also look for ways that you can minister to others in our community during this time. Check on your neighbors, see where you might meet a need, and be in prayer for all. This is a unique opportunity for 2BC to show faith, love, and compassion toward our community.

We will monitor updates regarding COVID-19 daily, making decisions for future gatherings as the days go by. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
