Team Leader - Rainforest Falls VBS 2026 - UPDATES

Yes, there are a few changes coming to VBS 2026 that will help your kids know where they need to be and learn about their relationship with Jesus.  Catch up on updates below:

NEW features for VBS 2026!

  • AS OF June 23, 2026:

    Welcome to Rainforest Falls VBS 2026!  We are less than three weeks away from one of the biggest weeks of the year at our church.


    There are a few updates from last year - changes that will help children know where to go, incorporate additional time for worship, and help them know about Jesus:

    • We're adding a Worship Station.  Kids will have additional time to learn the songs & motions.
    • Kids will be in Groups instead of Crews.  This means each child will be in Groups with kids their age.  If your child would like to be with a friend, please make that request on their registration - or call the church office at 270-338-6160 to let us know.  We will do our best to put them with their friends.
    • We're changing up the Closing.  To allow time for other fun things, we will wrap up our time by reviewing and dismissing from the MMC Gym.  We're calling it "The AfterParty" because -- it's going to be FUN!

    Hello, Leaders:


    We had a meeting last night at 7pm for all Team Leaders who wanted a heads up on new changes coming to VBS 2026.  If you missed it, here are my notes:

    • We are adding a Worship Station - you will learn the songs and the motions.  It's in the Sanctuary.  
    • We are changing from the "Crew Leader" concept to a "Team" concept.  That means, for example, 1st graders will be together, but be divided between RED and BLUE teams.  There are TWO of every Station.  Your group will go to the color Station designated to your Team.
    • During snack time (only for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders), there will be an adult to lead some discussion at their table.  Please have kids to sit at the same table each night, because we want them to get to know those kids.
    • To allow time for the additional Station, we will only be coming back to the gym for dismissal at the end of each night, not for a presentation as in years past.  Once in the gym, no child will be allowed to exit without a parent.  If you will be serving in a different part of the building and you have instructions for us to dismiss your child, please fill out this form.
    • If you need help, please ask!  I will have people willing to help, but I need to know about it.  Text me at 270-399-1164.
    • Your go-to Leaders for the week are:  Elementary, Sarah Brothers 270-543-9205 and Preschool, Ashleigh Johnson 270-977-6158
    • Bus riders should wear a BLUE wristband.  "BUS RIDER" will also show up on your roll printout under "Medical Concerns" so you can help them get to where they need to be at the end of the night.
