Thanks a million for helping with VBS this year!  It's shaping up to be an amazing year!  We are less than 3 weeks from one of the biggest days of the year for our church!  Read carefully for lots of updates.  Need to reference it later?  You can go to www.2ndbaptist.org/vbs then click on your role for this info later.

I have texted/email each of you a link to your Leader Guide.  But here is the link again if you need:  leader guides  I also have hard copies in color at church.  Remind me next time you're at church.

Here are a few changes to expect from last year.  They won't necessarily affect you, but you'll need to know:

• We're adding a Worship Station.  Kids will have additional time to learn the songs & motions.
  
• Kids will be in Groups instead of Crews.  This means each child will be in Groups with kids their age.  The best effort will be made to put them with friends if requested.
  
• We're changing up the Closing.  To allow time for other fun things, we will wrap up our time by reviewing and dismissing from the MMC Gym.  We're calling it "The AfterParty" because -- it's going to be FUN!
  

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?  

1. Review your Leader Guide.  Try not to be overwhelmed; start with just Day 1.
2. Make us a list of supplies you need.  Part of my and the VBS Committee's job is to equip you with the "stuff" you'll need.  In your list, be specific (color, quantity, links are GREAT!) then text or email me lists.  You can usually categorize them in 1. Amazon  2. Walmart  3. Gather at church.
3. If you would like assistance in your Station, please let me help you recruit someone.  Many folks come to me and ask where to serve.  Let me help you find someone.

I've attached a ROUGH DRAFT of the Elementary Schedule.  I'm still working on the Preschool Schedule.

Another change for Preschool:  2 year olds will be in the nursery this year.  There are fewer that age at church lately, so Kim Jones said they could come there this year.  VBS will be for kids 3 years old through completed 5th grade.
