Parent Resources for CentriKid

Use this page is to help you get ready for CentriKid!  

  • CentriKid is for kids who have completed 3rd through 6th grade.  
  • Kids who have completed 2nd grade can attend with a parent chaperone.  
  • This year, CentriKid camp will be at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN.  
  • We will be leaving MONDAY, June 8 and return FRIDAY, June 12, 2026

  • Is Centrikid right for my child?

    Through past experience in guiding parents of young kids, here are some guidelines I've found helpful.  If your child is not to this point, you can encourage them to work toward these daily tasks to be ready by CentriKid.  Kids need to be able to:

    • brush their own teeth with a reminder
    • change their own clothes
    • follow directions
    • put their phone away
    • sleep in their own bed
    • stay with a group (not wander off)
    • take a shower themselves
    If younger campers cannot complete these at home, have them work toward these goals.  If not, it may be best to wait til next year.  CentriKid is jam-packed with fun but can be overwhelming for younger kids.  Talk with Bro. David about whether CentriKid is right for your child.

REGISTRATION:

These items will need to be completed BEFORE our Parent Meeting on May 20 @ 7:15 pm.

    Your child will make their top 4 choices.  They will get to do 2 of the 4 choices.  Campers will find out what they will participate in the first night of camp.  You will choose their Track Times when you fill out your Parent Release Form.


    Archery is reserved only for 5th and 6th graders.

    There is no pool at Cumberland University.  Choose "H2O Yeah" instead.

  • STEP 2: Waiver and release form

    Please read all the steps below!  It will help you avoid unnecessary mistakes.


    This form needs to be completed BEFORE the Parent Meeting on May 20.


    You will choose your child's Track Times.  (choose top 4)  


    The REG ID for our church is 97326.


    (It requires you to choose a track time.  Please let Bro David know later if you need to edit them.)


    I highly recommend using a computer rather than a phone to sign the document.  Your phone may work, but there's no guarantee.


    Before you begin, gather this info:

    • Basic info (name, birthdate, etc.)
    • tetanus immunization date (if you don't know, just put "unknown")
    • Health Insurance info

    No need to forward anything to me; it will automatically send me a copy.

  • Registration opens:  December 2025
  • Parent Meeting:  December 10, 2025
  • Deadline to Register:  January 25, 2026 (you can sign up this date, but no guarantee there are spaces left)
  • Spaghetti Lunch & Dessert Auction:  February 15, 2026
  • Green Envelope Offering:  March 22, 2026 (cancelled in 2026 because fundraising goal has been met)
  • Camper Care Package order forms due:  April 29, 2026
  • Additional $75 cancellation fee:  May 1, 2026  (if you cancel after this date, we ask you cover the $75 cancellation fee)
  • Chaperone meeting (chaperones only):  May 6, 2026 @ 7:10 pm
  • Parent Meeting (Required!):  May 20, 2026 @ 7:10 pm  (ALL forms & payments due before our meeting)
  • CENTRIKID!:  June 8-12

ADULT CHAPERONES

Each Adult Chaperone is required to complete the Child Protection Training provided through MinistrySafe at no cost to you.  

  • Please follow the link below
  • Check the "COMPLETED" tab if you think you have done it previously.  We only have to complete the training once every two year.
  • Watch the series of videos and review the training material
  • Complete the assessment
  • text or email a picture of the completed certificate to your Group Leader, Bro David.

Child protection training

What is OMC?!

OMC (Organized Mass Chaos) is our camp-wide relay game that takes place on the last day of camp. Campers compete for their color teams by completing individual tasks. Everyone has a task (organized), but they are all happening at the same time (mass chaos). Oh, and there will be plenty of shaving cream and water (you’ll probably don’t want to play in your Sunday best)! Check out more details here.
